What the status rests on

The report of the city sports foundation (Fundació Esportiva Municipal) dated 5 October 2026 names the club as organiser of the II Torneig Escolar "Mossèn Fenollar", played in the Plaça de Patraix the day before, and a Club Deportivo Basilio news item of 24 July 2026 names it as technical director of the XII Open Internacional Fundación València Cuna del Ajedrez of 27 July-2 August 2026. On 20 April 2020 the same foundation described the municipal Escuelas Deportivas chess programme, for children aged 4 to 12, as organised by this club; no 2026 page for that programme was found. The Basilio school page speaks of "Club Deportivo Basilio y Club Ajedrez Ciutat Vella" together as the clubs players register with for 2026/2027. The club's own seat is not stated on any page seen; it works together with Club Deportivo Basilio, whose base is the Petxina complex.
