The project
Valencia Chess is an independent editorial project with no company, advertiser or sponsor behind it. It can be reached through the contribution form and in no other way. This page describes what happens to a message you send and what is recorded when you visit.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There is no consent banner because there is nothing to consent to.
What a message contains
A message carries the name you typed, the email address or other contact you gave, and what you wrote: the entry it concerns, what is missing or wrong, what it should say, the page that shows it and how you know the place. The form adds the language of the page and, for a correction, the address of the card. It gathers nothing beyond that.
Where messages go
Messages are kept on a server the project runs and are read by its editors at the next revision round, for one purpose: checking and correcting the directory. They are never published, passed on or sold, and your contact is used only when you asked for an answer.
Counting visits
Page views are counted by a small analytics script that the site serves from its own domain. It uses no cookies and keeps no profile of a visitor. No page carries advertising code, third-party trackers, embedded maps or fonts loaded from elsewhere.
Having a message removed
If you want a message deleted, write again through the form with the same name and contact and say so. It is removed at the next revision round, and you get a confirmation only if you request one.
Clubs, bars and organisers in the directory
What a card says about a place comes from public pages, and an email address or phone number appears only where the place itself publishes it. A place can ask through the form to have a detail corrected or taken off its card; the request is dealt with at the next revision round, as every message is.
